Leopold and Miku

I couldn't help myself and ended up learning how to rig, weight, and create facial animations for a character model that I obtained via polycount.

At first the PMX Editor was daunting but I ended up learning a great deal thanks to the Miku model as reference. Without it creating the rig for this guy wouldn't taken far longer to learn via trail and error as tutorials for the program are a few years old.

Dalek Study

Posting a shot of the progress with the Dalek texturing through Substance Designer. I'll have to go back into the model to fix the seams with the spheres, mostly going to rotate them to hide 'em, then rebake the maps. At this point much of the graph is set up but still need to work on a few areas and spend some time immersing with how to create some proper specular in the program.

Bu Bot Family

Rendered in Keyshot
Based on a Jake Parker robot illustration, who by the way dig many of his robot designs, and finished modeling out today. Whenever I finish modeling the high poly of another Jake Parker robot I will return to the Bu Bots and rig then animate 'em as a side project.

Doctor Who: Dalek High Poly

Modeled and rendered in 3ds Max 2012
As part of the drive to continue pushing high poly modeling I decided to choose one of my favorite villains in the Doctor Who series: a Dalek.

Robot Dancer

The goal of this model was to see how far I could model a high poly of and experiment with switching from dense to smooth in the amount of modeled detail. Made in 3ds Max and rendered with metal shaders.
